Valley Mountain Biker club members who maintain the Nockamixon Mountain Bike trail system were out today to clean a two-mile stretch of Mountain View Drive (Route 563) from Route 412 towards Route 313 including a significant section bordering Nockamixon State Park in the vicinity of the Haycock Boat Launch and Tohickon Access. PennDOT has posted signage recognizing the club for its efforts.
Walking four miles total (two in each direction) produced enough trash bags to fill a pickup truck within three hours restoring this scenic stretch of road to pristine condition before winter sets in.
