Drainage Work Continues on Upper EWR

The Nockamixon Trailbuilders have begun focusing on completing necessary drainage work along that portion of the Upper EWR nearer to the Sidewalk crossing adjacent to the dam access road.  This work wil continue over the next few weeks and will include both rock armoring and corduroying where necessary to permanently resolve the worst of the muddy conditions periodically experienced on this section of trail in the past.

All riders should be aware that trailbuilders will be active on this section of the EWR loop primarily on Sunday mornings and earlyafternoons.

Nockamixon Trail Builders (both VMB members and non-members) turned out on Saturday, April 20, 2013 to clean a section of Route 563 (Mountainview Drive) extending south from Route 412 along the northern edge of Nockamixon State Park past the trailhead and Haycock Boat Launch to near the PennDOT yard.

Eleven bags of trash were collected over three hours which had accumulated in the time period since the last cleaning in late December 2012.  Thanks to all who came out!
