Work began on Saturday to improve the "Bump Track" segment of the South Park loop near its intersection with the Jaywalk loop. Work will continue in this area next weekend as well.
Select vegetation removal on the system's southern loops was undertaken this morning on EWR, Upper Jaywalk, and all of South Park. All loops are completely clear at the present time systemwide.
Selected brush removal continued along Cold Spot, Hammer, and EWR trails this morning. Additional work will take place on South Park soon.
![]() BEGINNER/KIDS RIDES ARE SCHEDULED ON MONDAYS AT 6:30 PM THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. WE MEET AT THE TOWER ROAD PARKING AREA. THE RIDE IS SLOW PACED AND WE RIDE 3-4 MILES. Two additional berms were added to Upper Hammer today improving trail flow on this loop - both are only short distances uphill and downhill from the one installed recently. Rainfall today and tonight will begin the process of settling these berms into place.
Ed Kihm came out to video some trail work and here is the video that he made. Thanks Ed for the great video. www.edkihm.com Moved rocks into upper EWR this past weekend. All of the donated rocks were moved up into the trail to fix the areas that get muddy. One of the muddy sections of EWR got armored, and the rest will be getting fixed in the coming weeks. The excavator was also used to fix the bench cut on the exit of Jay Walk where the trail meets the access road and make it a lot wider than it was. Thanks to Zaveta Excavation and Action Rental for donating equipment to make the job a lot easier and everyone who came out to help. Check out the gallery for more photos.
