As soon as the ground becomes soft enough installation of the trail markers will begin.

Continued freeze-thaw issues and recent precipitation require the continued closure of the Nockamixon Mountain Bike Trail system.  Please DO NOT ride at Nockamixon until further notice

The Nockamixon Mountain Bike Trail system is now CLOSED.

Recent rains, snow, and limited sun have combined with heavy trail usage to create very sloppy conditions including the initial development of ruts in areas where drainage work has been undertaken.  These ruts trap water creating muddy areas.

Please DO NOT RIDE at Nockamixon until further notice out of respect for the trails, park management's desire to preserve these trails in a sustainable condition, and the Nockamixon trailbuilders who maintain them on a weekly basis year round.

Construction and planning for the installation of post-style trail markers identifying all mountain bike trails at Nockamixon continues.  These markers conform to Pennsylvania DCNR standards for state parks and will be placed at trail intersections by sometime this spring.
