Please keep a couple things in mind as the fall riding season kicks into high gear following Hurricane Sandy and the couple weeks of work necessary to restore the trails at Nockamixon.
1.) PLEASE FOLLOW THE SPEED LIMITS ON FINK DRIVE AND TOWER ROAD. The speed limit on dirt/gravel Fink Drive beyond its paved portion near South Park Road is 25 M.P.H. Paved Tower Road from the Route 611 light to the parking lot is posted at 35 M.P.H. These roads are narrow and uneven in spots and therefore not designed for traffic traveling at speeds higher than this, especially since equestrians, walkers, and cyclists frequently use these roads in addition to motorists utilizing the shortcut between South Park Road and Route 611.
2.) PLEASE ACQUIRE AND WEAR FLUORESCENT ORANGE FROM NOW THROUGH EARLY FEBRUARY. Help hunters see you! Also, avoid riding on opening days (i.e. the Monday following Thanksgiving - 'buck season" and/or riding on Saturdays and/or weekdays near dawn and dusk when game is most active and hunters may be present in large numbers.
